Good Friday Designs, and our first Giveaway Contest!
I have been working with L.A. based Good Friday designs on their logo and business card designs. In exchange for my work, I chose the Sheena Necklace, which I think is the perfect combination of punk rock and glam.
You too, dear reader can win one in the very first Hiss and Hearse Giveaway Contest! Just leave a comment on why you love the Sheena Necklace and we’ll choose and answer we like best. We will give you the entire holiday weekend to think about it, so please submit a comment by Sunday 7/5 at Midnight. The winner will be notified by email!
Thank you Good Friday and best of luck!

I love this Sheena necklace. It seems to distill the early 80’s Prince circa 1999 aesthetic down to a single unit. Don’t think Sheena Easton ever rocked the studs (at least not here:

I never really wear jewelry at all, but I feel like this necklace could easily work it’s way into my daily wardrobe! It is so simple but also so unique and a little edgy! I love it!!!

Gold is my favorite color, I want to coat everything in gold leaf. Pyramid studs make me think of Rob Halford from Judas Priest, he had the best studs of the eighties. He also had the best vocals! I love studs but they’re hard for me to wear without looking like I am 15 again. The stud is made of glass, when paired with gold it looks really chic, modern, opulent, and understated, while still paying homage to the eighties metal edge that I love. This could be worn with almost anything.

my little sister, sheena, would be the inspiration for me writing this comment. i haven’t had the best relationship with my sister for a long time now, but at one point she was my partner in crime. we don’t speak much now but i think of her often. her name is quite a staple of 80s culture, and every time i see it or hear it i think of her- sheena easton, the ramones, even tone loc. the first thing i thought of when i read the name of this necklace was her, and i know that if i were to own it, every time i wore it i would think of her as well. i don’t wear jewelry that often, but this is simple and sweet enough that i could wear it without feeling overdone~ and i would have the added bonus of remembering someone who is very important to me, even if i could never tell her that myself.

This necklace is a Dynasty meets Joan Jett hybrid. “I saw you standing by the record machine, I know you must have been about seventeen…” I would be one classy girl, sporting this beauty!
